Sandoz has been involved in biopharmaceutical production for several decades. Our biosimilars business is based on our experience of producing more than 25 different recombinant proteins for numerous well known pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, as well as for other Novartis divisions.Production is at clinical and commercial scale, using both microbial and cell culture technologies at three state-of-the-art facilities: Kundl and Schaftenau in Austria, and Menges in Slovenia. Our full range of production capabilities also includes pegylation and fill & finish.
