As part of Sandoz, a global leader in quality generics, we have forged a position as the undisputed pioneer of biosimilars with three marketed products worldwide and a global regulated market share of nearly 50%.
As part of the Novartis Group, we also enjoy unique access to the resources, capabilities, and expertise of a leading global innovative pharmaceutical healthcare company. In particular, we have a close ongoing collaboration agreement with Novartis Oncology, the global #2 in its field.
In addition to Sandoz’s presence in approximately 130 countries, and its development and production network spanning five continents, Sandoz Biopharmaceuticals – based in Holzkirchen, near Munich (Germany) – has three dedicated development and production sites at Kundl and Schaftenau (both in Austria) and Menges (in Slovenia). Our powerful biosimilar pipeline comprises eight to 10 molecules at all stages of development.
As a dedicated Sandoz business, we employ more than 1000 people worldwide, and sell our biosimilar products in approximately 30 countries, in addition to producing biopharmaceutical intermediates and end products for a wide range of third party customers.
